Livelihood Support
Livelihood Support, which is one of the most basic needs of families, is the priority of the Imam Jawad Charity, and the charity pays special attention to providing support and help for the underprivileged . Among the charity activities, most of the funds go to livelihood support. Therefore, it requires more attention from donors. Livelihood support includes the distribution of raw food packages, hot meals, clothes, basic home appliances, and in the cold season, distribution of coal, gas, firewood, and money for paying electricity bills.
Distribution of raw food packages
Food distribution, which is one of the most important necessities of any human, is one of the most basic current programs of Imam Jawad charity. Food items including rice, oil, tea, sugar, chickpeas, beans, lentils, and fresh mutton are continuously distributed among the covered underprivileged households. The amount of these items increases during the holy month of Ramadan compared to other times.
Distribution of hot food
During the year, in addition to cash donations and food, hot food is also distributed among the covered and non-covered families by Imam Jawad charity on several occasions. During the holy month of Ramadan, the respected households that are covered by the charity benefit from hot food every night for Iftar and Sahari.
Clothing Distribution
Another essential human need is clothing. Considering this basic need and limited financial means of underprivileged households in purchasing clothes, Imam Jawad Charity distributes seasonal clothes among needy families on several occasions every year.
Basic House Appliances
Due to the bad economic situation and the problem of unemployment and lack of income, many families have problems in providing home appliances and furniture. Imam Jawad Charity distributes basic house furniture and appliances among the needy.
Fuel Distribution
Every year, with the beginning of the cold season and the increase in the price of fuels Afghanistan’s needy and poor families cannot afford these materials. To tackle this problem, Imam Jawad charity distributes fuel including coal and firewood among needy households every year at the beginning of the cold season.
Latest activities on livelihood category
Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization in Afghanistan graciously welcomes all types of charitable donations, and the donations will go directly to the program that has been chosen by the benefactor.
On March 12, 2023, (64o) biscuit cartons were distributed to underprivileged families in Habib Al-Mustafa and Al-Zahra towns at the request of the respected benefactor.

One of the Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization’s programs during Ramadan month is the distribution of cooked meals (rice with meat and chicken) for families who are under the charity’s support and families who are not. By the grace of Allah, in Ramadan month of the current year over 22 thousand cooked meals were distributed during 17 days in Ramadan among 22 locations in Mashhad city. Besides, cash and food assistance packs including rice, oil, sugar, tea, spaghetti, and tomato paste were distributed among them as well.
Imam Jawad (As) Charity Organization in Afghanistan slaughtered 8 sheep and distributed them among the poor on February 21, 2023, following the livelihood assistance that has been held by this Charity to its permanent beneficiaries.
