Livelihood Support is one of our top priorities. It meets one of the most basic needs of families.
Most of our funds go here, so it needs more attention from our donors.
This includes:
• Food packages and hot meals
• Clothes and basic home appliances
• Coal, charcoal, gas, firewood, and electricity bill payments in cold seasons.
Food Package Distribution
Food is one of every human’s basic needs. That’s why we make it a core part of our work.
What we provide: rice, oil, tea, sugar, chickpeas, beans, lentils, and fresh mutton, delivered regularly to families who need them most.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the amounts increase.
Cooked Meal Distribution
Hot meals are served throughout the year on special occasions, to both the families we support and others in need. During Ramadan, our families receive hot meals every night for Iftar and Suhoor.
Clothing Distribution
Clothing is essential, but not always affordable for families in need. We distribute seasonal clothes to the families we support on severa occasions each year.
Household Essentials Assistance
Many families can’t afford basic home furniture and appliances due to unemployment and financial hardship. For this reason, Imam Jawad Charity provides free home furnishings to those in need.
Winter Fuel Distribution
When winter comes, fuel prices rise, and many families can’t afford coal, charcoal, firewood, gas, or their electricity bills. We at the Imam Jawad Charity Organization provide winter fuel and bill payment support to needy households every year.
Recent Livelihood Updates
Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization in Afghanistan graciously welcomes all types of charitable donations, and the donations will go directly to the program that has been chosen by the benefactor.
On March 12, 2023, (64o) biscuit cartons were distributed to underprivileged families in Habib Al-Mustafa and Al-Zahra towns at the request of the respected benefactor.

One of the Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization’s programs during Ramadan month is the distribution of cooked meals (rice with meat and chicken) for families who are under the charity’s support and families who are not. By the grace of Allah, in Ramadan month of the current year over 22 thousand cooked meals were distributed during 17 days in Ramadan among 22 locations in Mashhad city. Besides, cash and food assistance packs including rice, oil, sugar, tea, spaghetti, and tomato paste were distributed among them as well.
Imam Jawad (As) Charity Organization in Afghanistan slaughtered 8 sheep and distributed them among the poor on February 21, 2023, following the livelihood assistance that has been held by this Charity to its permanent beneficiaries.
