The holy month of Ramadan is a time to spread kindness, solidarity, and support for those in need. Like previous years, the Imam Jawad Charity Organization (IJCO) carried out extensive programs to help ease the living difficulties of underprivileged families in this month. These efforts included food distribution, hot meals, cash assistance, and orphan support across our offices in Kabul, Herat, and Mashhad.

With the generous support of our donors, 375 food packages were distributed among needy families in Kabul. Throughout the holy month, 15,000 pieces of dried bread, 3,000 hot meals, and 100 kg of meat were distributed to permanent beneficiaries of the organization. In addition, 642,500 Afghanis in cash assistance was allocated and distributed to respected Sadat families under the organization’s care.

In Herat, our Ramadan programs continued on a large scale. A total of 2,250 food packages were distributed to permanent beneficiaries of the organization and other vulnerable families, and over 600 kg of fresh meat reached those in need. Additionally, 1,650,000 Afghanis in cash assistance was given to 220 needy families.
Another notable initiative was the provision of Eid clothing for beloved orphans, bringing smiles to their faces. A hot meal distribution program began on the 8th day of Ramadan, running every other day. In total, 17,100 hot meals were prepared and distributed to those in need. Furthermore, on the 27th day of Ramadan, 900 boxes of Eid sweets were distributed alongside hot meals.

In Mashhad, our office distributed 1,520 food packages to needy families, helping to meet some of their basic needs during this blessed month. In addition, over 16,500 hot meals were prepared and distributed to those in need.

We are deeply grateful to all our generous donors. Your support—especially from the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, and the UAE—made these extensive programs possible. We could not have helped so many families without you. We hope this spirit of compassion and cooperation continues, so that together we can serve even more people in need in the future.
