The agriculture sector is the backbone of an economy in every society. Likewise, agricultural development is one of the most powerful tools to end extreme poverty and helps the country to easily become food-secure. Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization in Afghanistan partnership with DAI Organization embark on an agricultural development workshop, following other social services and programs that the charity has held for the underprovided class. After conducting research and investigation on rural areas around Herat City, (137) individuals have been chosen from farmers that do not own any piece of land and are eligible to receive farming aid. The workshop started on 09.09.1401 equals (30.11.2022), and the eligible farmers have received training on agricultural skills. At the end of the workshop, some elements such as genetically-modified (GM) seeds, fertilizers and plant pesticides, cereal sacks and plastic bags for grain long-term storage, and a guide brochure were distributed among the farmers. In conclusion, we hope that the farmers took advantage of the program and it helped them to increase their harvest, and their lands became as efficient and productive as possible. May Allah accept the poor people’s prayers and our country achieves industrial and agricultural self-sufficiency. We hope for more job opportunities in our country to produce all the necessary products by ourselves. Inshallah!
