Distribution of 10 Sewing Machines to Tailoring Graduates – December 2024

Providing employment opportunities to help Afghan families achieve self-sufficiency, both within and outside Afghanistan, has been a primary goal of the Imam Jawad Charity Organization. Since its inception, the organization has launched a variety of vocational training programs for those in need, including tailoring, embroidery, basket weaving, crochet work, macramé, saddle weaving, and more. These initiatives have empowered numerous individuals to acquire valuable skills and secure sustainable livelihoods.
One of these initiatives is a tailoring training center for women, established in Farah Province two years ago. Alhamdulillah, the center has successfully completed two extended training programs, with a third currently underway. Over the first two programs, 28 women graduated, each receiving a completion certificate and a sewing machine generously provided by the Imam Jawad Charity Organization.
On December 8, 2024, a ceremony was held to distribute 10 sewing machines to 10 skilled graduates from the second tailoring training program. With the continued support of our generous benefactors, we hope to expand this initiative further, providing employment opportunities to even more deserving women in the future.
