One of the Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization’s programs during Ramadan month is the distribution of cooked meals (rice with meat and chicken) for families who are under the charity’s support and families who are not

On the occasion of world refugee day, an annual exhibition was held under the title of “Mehre Watan” (love for the homeland) from 5th to 10th Saratan (26th June- 1st July). After evaluation, more than 4 hundred out of one thousand pieces of visual artwork were selected by the judges to be released in the exhibition. The selected artworks were from six different fields including photography, oil painting, black pen sketches, mosaic, calligraphy, music, handicraft, poetry, and storytelling. In addition, 20 active Afghan organizations and 7 refugees help organizations participated in the exhibition and presented their achievements. Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization’s booth was recognized as one of the most influential booths in the exhibition.

Imam Jawad (AS)’s birth anniversary was celebrated in Kabul city as well, concurrently with that of Herat and Mashhad cities. Many of our compatriots in Kabul city attended the celebration. Our compatriots in Khost, Paktia, and Paktika incurred extensive loss of life and property damage due to the recent earthquake in these cities. The earthquake was very destructive as many of our compatriots died or were injured and their livestock dead. Likewise, many homes had collapsed or were severely damaged. Considering the needs, Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization’s team in Kabul rushed to the affected area and provided food assistance such as rice, oil, beans, sugar, and grams for affected families.

Consultation, in fact, is about listening to others’ experiences and knowledge on an issue to make a decision. Imam Jawad (AS) Charity Organization, in order to achieve effective consultation on increasing economic activities and self-sufficiency of the families who are supported by the charity, conducted a consultation under the title of “Consultative Meetings on charity’s Economic solutions”.
