As part of its ongoing humanitarian and educational support programs, the Imam Jawad (A.S.) Charity Foundation has taken an important and hopeful step in supporting the education of children in deprived areas. This time, the focus turned to Qosnan Public School, located in the Boloughha area of Qara District, Herat Province—a place where children, despite all hardships, remain eager to learn.
This school, operating with the bare minimum of educational facilities, has for years been a refuge for students who, despite living in extreme poverty, carry great dreams in their hearts. Many of its pupils are forced to study outdoors—under the sun and in the shade of trees—or inside temporary tents. A shortage of classrooms, desks, benches, and even basic learning materials remains one of its most pressing challenges.
In its first step, the Imam Jawad (A.S.) Charity Foundation donated 24 drinking water coolers to meet the students’ urgent need for safe drinking water—a small but vital contribution to the health and well-being of these children.
Following this, 150 desks and benches will be provided for the classrooms, bringing a significant improvement to the school’s physical learning environment and sparing students from having to sit on the ground.
The most important part of this project is the construction of a two-story educational building within the school compound. This facility will house multiple classrooms, providing a safe, suitable, and well-equipped learning space for the children of Qosnan.
