Education is a fundamental right of every child and a cornerstone of sustainable community development. Yet for many underprivileged families, meeting the costs of education remains a significant challenge. Even basic school supplies can place an additional financial burden on households with limited resources. Providing essential school supplies helps reduce barriers to education, supports children’s learning, and promotes equal educational opportunities.
In line with its commitment to supporting the education of vulnerable children and youth, IJCO conducted the second round of its school supplies distribution campaign at the start of the second semester of the 1405 school year. The initiative supported underprivileged students attending both public and private schools across Herat City and its surrounding areas by providing essential school supplies and helping remove financial barriers to their education. As part of the campaign, approximately 5,000 school supply kits, including notebooks, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners, were prepared and distributed to eligible students.
