Ramadan, the blessed month of Allah’s mercy and blessings, is a time when hearts grow closer and the spirit of generosity and compassion is renewed. Providing iftar and supporting families in need during this month is not merely a personal act of kindness; it is a shared responsibility that eases hardship and brings hope to households awaiting support.

As in previous years, Imam Jawad Charity Organization began its annual Ramadan food distribution program in Herat, Kabul, and Mashhad. Each package includes essential food items such as flour, rice, cooking oil, sugar, tea, beans, chickpeas, lentils, soy chunks, pasta, tomato paste, and dates. These supplies are provided to families under the Organization’s care, as well as other vulnerable households, helping to meet their basic needs throughout the holy month.

In Kabul, and with the support of generous donors, 320 full food packages were distributed to families under the Organization’s care, marking the final phase of this year’s Ramadan distribution in the city. Additionally, 1,500 iftar food packages have been planned for other vulnerable families in Kabul who are not part of the Organization’s regular support program. These packages will be delivered before the end of Ramadan.

The Organization’s overall goal this year is to distribute 7,000 food packages across all its offices. Alongside this effort, the “Ikram and Iftar” initiative, which began on the seventh day of Ramadan, provides hot meals every evening to families in need. Insha’Allah, by the end of the holy month, more than 60,000 hot meals will be served in Herat, Kabul, and Mashhad.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all donors and supporters who have helped provide iftar for thousands of fasting individuals during this blessed month. We pray that Allah accepts their generosity, counts it among their good deeds, and grants lasting blessings in their wealth and lives.
