Following a sharp drop in temperatures and recent snowfall and rainfall in Herat, living conditions have become increasingly difficult for many returnee migrant families. Rising fuel prices and basic living costs have made access to heating especially challenging, putting young children and vulnerable households at greater risk during the winter.
In response, Imam Jawad Charity Organization has continued its winter assistance program by distributing charcoal to poor and vulnerable families. During the past week, more than 500 bags of charcoal were distributed to returnee migrants in Herat. This support will continue throughout the winter season.
